Every great cup of coffee begins with a story.

Ours started over twelve years ago in a home kitchen with nothing more than curiosity and a desire for better coffee. Long before Oakdale Roastery existed, we were roasting beans in a frying pan, experimenting with a popcorn popper, and learning one batch at a time. What began as a simple hobby soon became an obsession with discovering just how extraordinary freshly roasted coffee could be.

As family and friends kept asking for more, we realized we weren’t just roasting coffee—we were creating something people genuinely looked forward to sharing. That passion eventually became Oakdale Roastery.

Today, our mission remains beautifully simple: to roast coffee we’d be proud to serve at our own table.

Every coffee begins with carefully sourced green beans from respected importers and producers around the world. We spend countless hours sampling and cupping coffees, selecting only those that meet our standards for quality, balance, and character. While we admire the bright acidity and floral notes found in lighter roasts, our hearts belong to medium and dark roasts—coffees that are rich, smooth, comforting, and full of depth without sacrificing clarity or sweetness.

Freshness is at the center of everything we do. Coffee is a living product, and its finest flavors are experienced soon after roasting. That’s why we roast in small batches and deliver our coffee as fresh as possible, so every bag offers the aroma, complexity, and richness that inspired us to begin roasting in the first place.

We’re also committed to making specialty coffee more approachable. By roasting our own beans and selling directly to our customers, we’re able to provide exceptional quality at a fair price—without the unnecessary markups that often separate people from truly great coffee.

While we’re grateful to ship our coffee across the country, Orange County will always be home. You’ll find us every Saturday at the Tustin Certified Farmers’ Market, where we enjoy meeting fellow coffee lovers one conversation at a time. We also partner with local businesses by providing commercial coffee equipment, freshly roasted beans, and ongoing service, helping workplaces enjoy café-quality coffee every day.

For us, coffee has never been just about caffeine. It’s about slowing down before the day begins, reconnecting with friends, welcoming guests into your home, and creating moments worth remembering. Those are the moments we think about every time we fire up the roaster.
